Floral Chinoiserie Inspired Winter Wedding at Omni Barton Creek

Taking Inspiration from Floral Chinoiserie

Elizabeth and Louis had four wedding dates due to the pandemic but ended up having a baby on the third date (the literal day they were to be married, their son was born!). After multiple reschedules, It was incredible to celebrate these two.

A Chinoiserie print inspired the couple, and their wedding was full of custom details, making it completely unique! The garden-inspired color palette of mint, cream, yellow, lavender, and blush was all pulled from the print, which was used throughout the wedding.

Guests got a glimpse into the wedding design with the wedding invitations. The classic letterpress suite was accented with their Chinoiserie print on the envelope liner, a beautiful way to showcase what was coming at the wedding.

Custom Details Throughout

Another custom feature was their modern monogram, which was used throughout, including the ceremony booklets, metallic foiled matchbooks, and custom cocktail napkins. They even made a signature candle, which included their monogram! It was a unique gift that guests loved.

When it came to the design, Elizabeth told me, “We were going for a more modern take on the garden and used a lot of colors in the ceremony. We chose a chic candle-light-filled white look for the reception. The overall feel of everything for me was just happiness after this year of doom and gloom we have all been through. We wanted everything to convey hope, light, and joy!”

Outdoor Tented Ceremony at Omni Barton Creek

A little rain couldn’t dampen Elizabeth and Louis’s joy during their wedding. We moved their ceremony indoors, under a large Sperry tent. Westbank Flower Market created a gorgeous ceremony arch filled with hundreds of colorful blooms. While Elizabeth’s bouquet was focused on lavender, peach and yellow, the ceremony arch added in pops of orange and pink for a bit of extra color.

A Chinoiserie Pattern-Inspired Reception

The reception is really where the print took centerstage! All white flower centerpieces with white linens and chairs allowed their signature print to stand out during the reception. As guests entered, they were greeted with an incredible escort card display featuring their pattern and modern monogram. Hanging greenery was added to the ceiling to bring the garden feel inside.

The showcase of the event was their custom dance floor! They turned their favorite pattern into a large dancefloor that amazed guests. They even used the pattern to custom-wrap the bar!

No detail was overlooked, and the guests enjoyed declined food, cocktails, and a live band. I’m so glad I got to photograph this gorgeous wedding, and I know you will love it as much as I do!
