Michelle and Zach’s wedding at Omni Barton Creek was so much fun. They really knew how to celebrate, from a dance party with a live band to a visit from their college mascot, Little Bevo! The wedding day theme was classic elegance, and Omni’s brand-new Hill Country Pavilion was the perfect venue. With breathtaking views of the Hill Country and telescoping doors to create an indoor/outdoor space, I can’t wait to photograph more weddings there!
Wedding at Omni Barton Creek
The couple chose a black-and-white color scheme for the day with touches of blue and blush. For their bridal party, they selected black satin dresses and black tuxedos that complemented each other so well. In her ivory off-the-shoulder gown, Michelle stood out beautifully!
The bride and her ‘maids carried neutral bouquets with subtle hints of blush by Wildly Cultivated. Creamy white peonies, ranunculus, and orchids filled Michelle’s bouquet with nude and blush garden roses adding pops of color here and there. Magnolia leaves were the finishing touch on the arrangement for a subtle nod to the bride’s Southern heritage.
Additionally, the color palette carried into the couple’s reception, where crisp white tablecloths, black satin napkins, and lofted arrangements of blush roses and greenery filled the tablescapes. Elsie Event Co. did a great job bringing the couple’s vision to life! I’ve collaborated with Camille and her team many times, and they always bring a personal touch to create one-of-a-kind weddings and events. They really listen to the couple’s story and their vision to curate a vendor team and design that captures it all.
Longhorn Pride
Whenever two University of Texas alumni get married, there’s bound to be some Longhorn Pride! Michelle and Zach met at the university, so it was such a fun touch to have UT’s mascot, Bevo, at their wedding! Zach is a former Silver Spur, an honorary student service organization responsible for the handling and care of Bevo. Several current Silver Spurs transported Bevo to the pavilion’s private lawn, where he greeted guests (at a safe distance!) during cocktail hour. Needless to say, he was a hit with all the former Longhorns in attendance!
I had so much fun documenting this wedding at Omni Barton Creek. This venue really is a destination, with onsite guest accommodations, a Mokara Spa, seven dining options, a golf course, and a pool. If you’re planning a wedding here or elsewhere in the Austin area, I would love to chat with you about my services.
