Meredythe and Todd’s spring wedding at The Four Seasons in downtown Austin was full of fun and romance! The couple met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in Johnson City, Texas, and have been inseparable ever since. Their wedding day was a joyous celebration of their love that brought their closest friends and family together, much like the night they met. I loved being their wedding photographer and capturing every moment, from the sweet anticipation before their ceremony to the spectacular end-of-the-night getaway with fireworks and a vintage car.
Dusty Rose and Peach Garden Wedding
Meredythe and Todd envisioned a wedding design inspired by an English garden and worked with Austin’s Verve Event Planning to achieve their vision. A soft shade of dusty rose anchored the color palette and paired beautifully with ivory, peach, and yellow accents. Stems Floral Design contributed lush floral arrangements to nearly every surface that featured seasonal blooms, including dahlias, garden roses, and baby’s breath. A stunning floral archway provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony, while tall centerpieces and grounded floral meadows brought the outdoors into the ballroom reception.
Handcrafted paper goods by K.Laine Design further elevated the wedding design, with calligraphy by Teri Gaus. The softly neutral invitation suite with blush accents and a wax seal closure gave the couple’s guests their first glimpse into the day. I loved photographing the suite alongside an array of fresh spring blooms! Meanwhile, the day-of paper goods coordinated perfectly, with subtle gold accents to complement the other tablescape details at the reception. Cocktail napkins embossed with a custom illustration of the couple’s beloved yellow lab made for a fun personal touch!
Spring Wedding at The Four Seasons
The couple began their special day getting ready with their bridal parties. Meredythe and her bridesmaids got ready inside the Governor’s Suite at Four Seasons, and the natural light pouring into the room was perfect for photography. After an emotional first look, it was time for the outdoor ceremony. Towering live oak trees framed the couple on either side. Meanwhile, Lady Bird Lake was visible just past the colorful floral archway. It was a beautiful backdrop to complement the sunny and warm spring day!
The outdoor cocktail hour that followed featured a fun frosé cart, which the guests loved. Finally, it was time to let loose and celebrate inside the Four Seasons ballroom! After enjoying a candlelit meal with their guests, the bride and groom shared their first dance to “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton. Matchmaker Band kept the dance floor grooving all night long until it was time for the couple to cruise off to their forever inside a red vintage convertible, courtesy of ATX Classic Cars.
This wedding at The Four Seasons was simply unforgettable! From the thoughtful design and lush florals to the epic dance party, Meredythe and Todd soaked up every moment with their nearest and dearest. I’m so glad I was there to capture it all! If my work resonates with you, I would love to connect to discuss my wedding photography services. I cherish the opportunity to document love stories in Austin and beyond and would be thrilled to meet you and your partner!
