Bold and Bright Garden Party Wedding at Mattie’s Austin

Audrey and Brandon envisioned a spring garden party wedding with an emphasis on fun, florals, and a palette of bold sunset colors. Pearl Events made it happen! This wedding at Mattie’s Austin was truly magical, from the ceremony under the oak trees to the candlelit tented reception in this secluded urban oasis. A sunny spring day in Austin was the cherry on top of every carefully curated detail.

The couple met at the afterparty of the Longhorns vs. Sooners game in college. They went on a few dates together, but neither thought the other liked them as more than a friend. However, their true feelings eventually came to light, and the rest is history! The couple loves having dinner parties with their family and friends and wanted their wedding to feel just like one of those gatherings, except on a larger and even more fun scale. Mattie’s Austin was the perfect setting, with an intimate feel and delicious food.

A Colorful Custom Invitation Suite

The custom-made invitations by Pink Champagne Designs were one of my favorite details from this wedding day. I love styling and photographing my couple’s wedding invitations, and Audrey and Brandon’s suite was something special. Every piece featured a border of colorful flowers as a nod to Audrey’s vision of a vibrant garden party wedding. Meanwhile, the RSVP card featured a dainty watercolor illustration of one of Mattie’s famed peacocks!

To capture the suite, I artfully arranged everything into a flatlay that incorporated the couple’s wedding bands and some of the beautiful blooms provided by Stems Floral Design. It was a perfect miniature portrait of the wedding day that I know Audrey and Brandon will always cherish looking back on. The invitations also played a nod to Audrey’s gown by Carolina Herrara. The intricate floral motifs cascaded down the light organza, which had a soft glow as the sun set.

Spring Wedding at Mattie’s Austin

The couple held their ceremony in front of Mattie’s Austin, against the backdrop of the front porch and a colorful floral arch as the live oak branches draped overhead. Incorporating hues of tangerine, blush, sky blue, and royal purple, the floral details were truly stunning! Grounded arrangements also filled either side of the aisle with color to create a magical scene.

The celebration continued underneath the venue’s clear-top tent, which carried the vibrant colors from the ceremony into the tablescape designs. Organic floral arrangements filled the center of every table, interspersed with flickering taper candles and votives that cast a warm glow into the evening. Lush greenery draped overhead and appeared to bring the outdoors in. Also, on the ceiling, rattan lanterns added a charming finishing touch.

I had so much fun capturing this wedding at Mattie’s Austin! Audrey’s vision came to life so beautifully, and the love in the air only added to the enchantment.
