This October wedding at Two Wishes Ranch married the beauty of the Texas countryside with an elevated aesthetic fit for the front page of any wedding magazine. While Taylor and Michael chose the ranch as a nod to their Texas roots, they still wanted their day to feel high-class, with nods to quiet luxury. WHITT ROSS‘ Camille Ross expertly wove together each element to help the couple achieve their vision.
Taylor and Michael met through mutual friends, and it wasn’t long before sparks started flying. They wanted to honor their relationship’s roots for their wedding day by hosting “the best-planned dinner party we have ever thrown for our friends.” The couple also loves surprises, so they sprinkled a few throughout the day to enhance their loved ones’ experience. One was their incredible live band, Shinyribs, who brought the house down at their reception! As an Austin wedding photographer, there is nothing better than a live band! It always keeps everyone on their feet all night long.
A Romantic Ballgown and Flirty Reception Dress
Taylor found the wedding dress of her dreams in “The Melrose” gown by Lela Rose. The ballgown style features an all-over embroidery pattern with romantic details, including a peaked bodice and the most amazing pair of off-the-shoulder balloon sleeves. To complete her look, Taylor wore her hair swept into an elegant slick-back bun and accessorized with gold statement earrings adorned with miniature pearls.
When it was time to hit the dance floor, Taylor changed into a fringed mini-dress and a pair of white platform sneakers patterned with hearts. The flirty look was made for dancing the night away in comfort and transitioned perfectly to the afterparty at Austin’s Hotel ZaZa.
Austin Wedding at Two Wishes Ranch
For Austin couples who want to slip away from the city’s hustle and bustle to say “I do,” Two Wishes Ranch is the perfect venue. Situated just 30 miles from the city center, it’s convenient for guests to reach but sits on 408 unspoiled acres for a taste of authentic Texas charm. Taylor and Michael chose to host their ceremony outdoors overlooking the golden fields, then cozied up inside the modern barn for dinner and dancing.
The day featured a pared-back color palette of classic white with pops of green. Merveile Events designed simple yet impactful floral arrangements composed of clouds of baby’s breath, and Taylor carried a structured bouquet of ivory roses. Meanwhile, Taylor’s wedding party wore mismatched gowns in every shade of green, from the palest sea glass to the deepest emerald.
Despite the minimal color palette, the couple still found a way to incorporate bolder hues into the day. They instructed their friends and family to wear their most colorful attire, and they didn’t disappoint! I had so much fun photographing everyone in their outfits as they mingled at cocktail hour and interacted with the adorable beer burros from Ears with Beers. Every moment of capturing this wedding at Two Wishes Ranch was a pleasure, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for Taylor and Michael!
