Andy and Curtis’ wedding day was classic yet colorful, with sweet floral details. They opted for a tented outdoor wedding at Tarry House, a private club just west of the heart of Austin. When Andy and Curtis toured Tarry House, they knew it would be the perfect venue for their Austin outdoor wedding.
Established in 1960, the club nestles in the residential community of Tarrytown in the shade of a grove of live oak trees. Tarrytown is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Austin, and it isn’t hard to see why! With its peaceful seclusion and convenient access to downtown, it offers the best of both worlds.
Andy and Curtis chose to tent their wedding at Tarry House to create a luxurious experience, complete with a parquet dance floor and cafe lighting. Inside, their guests had plenty of space to party the night away. I love that this venue is workable for all kinds of weddings. Whether you envision an intimate elopement or an opulent tented affair, there are indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate your event.
A Modern Ballgown and Contemporary Bridesmaids
Andy’s bridal style was the perfect mix of classic and contemporary. She wore a floral lace veil paired with the Monte ballgown by KYHA. This gown reimagines the tried-and-true ballgown style with a thigh-high slit and a modern structured bodice. Andy looked so elegant with her hair in a slicked-back updo that showed off her pearl drop earrings.
Meanwhile, she carried a bouquet from Westbank Flower Market in a timeless palette of blue and white. Cream-colored peonies and soft blue delphinium filled out the arrangement, while blush garden roses added a touch of contrast.
I also loved the thoughtful way that Andy styled her bridesmaids. Everyone got ready in matching floral robes that matched the wedding-day palette. Then, the bridesmaids changed into forest green gowns by Reformation, while the maid of honor wore a sage green style patterned with white flowers. She stood out so beautifully! As an Austin wedding photographer, I document love stories with artistry and authenticity. Want to learn more about the JWP experience? I’d love to hear from you!
