Caroline and Jackson’s meticulously designed spring wedding at Omni Barton Creek was a pleasure to photograph. The couple met in college, and during their senior year, Jackson asked Caroline to a date party. They began officially dating one month later, and have been inseparable ever since!
Shared values are essential to a lasting bond, and Caroline and Jackson share a top priority: their family. The couple was adamant that their wedding wasn’t just about celebrating their love, but also about honoring the family and friends who shaped them into the people they are today. They wanted their guests to walk away from the weekend feeling cherished and having spent genuine time with them. The result was a heartfelt wedding celebration that translated beautifully on camera.
Spring Wedding at Omni Barton Creek
Madison Didier with Pearl Events Austin curated every detail to design a day inspired by the couple’s vision of a classic spring wedding. The color palette was timeless and perfectly suited the season, with soft shades of green, blue, taupe, and cream. Guests’ first glimpse into the weekend came via the custom invitation suite by Bryker Design Co. The dusty blue suite featured a bespoke floral illustration and a trifold vellum invitation wrap sweetly tied with a cornflower blue ribbon. The couple also asked their stationer to design a custom wedding crest, which adorned the outer envelope and liner.
The blue motif carried into the attire worn by Caroline’s wedding party: ice-blue floor-length dresses to complement the bride’s white Susan Neville gown. The bride and her attendants carried clean, structured bouquets by Bouquets of Austin filled with white tulips. Meanwhile, Jackson and his attendants wore fresh spring ranunculus pinned to the breasts of their classic black tuxedo jackets.
Reception in the Hill Country Pavilion
The thoughtful design of this wedding day culminated in the stunning reception inside Omni Barton Creek’s Hill Country Pavilion. Upon guests’ arrival, a welcome sign printed with the couple’s wedding crest greeted them, and a seating chart with candle lanterns and a lush floral meadow at its base showed them to their tables. A mix of round and square tables draped with ivory and spring green linens provided seating. Atop each, varied high and low floral centerpieces and candles provided a beautiful, welcoming space for guests to gather.
Even the cake table was curated, draped in a patterned white-and-spring-green tablecloth and flanked by floral urns repurposed from the couple’s ceremony. Lilac Sugar Cakes baked and designed the four-tiered confection that would have looked at home at a wedding from any era. White sugar flower petals resembling hydrangeas cascaded down the side, adding texture to the smooth frosting base.
As a wedding photographer, I’m drawn to beautiful details. This day was full of them! I’m so grateful that Caroline and Jackson trusted me to capture their vision. If you are planning a wedding in Austin, I would love to hear from you! Let’s tell your story through heartfelt images destined to become heirlooms.
