I will do almost anything to get the shot I want. I have rolled around in the grass, squatted in flowerbeds, fell in a lake (that's a story for another day), been pooped on by birds on the beach, lay flat on a public sidewalk... I promise you, I will go to great lengths to take the picture I want and usually it pays off! Even if I embarrass myself a little...

Due to popular demand (thank you Melissa and Jaime!), I wanted to post a couple pics of the mysteriously gorgeous surface I am always shooting on.
My talented hubby designed and built the coffee table in our living room. It was built with much love and about a million different exotic woods. He has pretty much built every piece of furniture in our house, so I promise one day soon to do a proper photoshoot of our cozy little abode.

Hummingbirds are a symbol of peace, love and happiness. They are actually native to North America and a sacred symbol in the Native American culture, symbolizing "timeless joy and the Nectar of Life."
All of that to say, they make me smile. With their rapid, delicate wings they soar through the air - so strong, so determined. Determined for the world to be happy. I could be corny right now and say that my goal is to also bring happiness to the world through capturing it in images, but I will spare you. :) I just want to make you smile, just like me.
And in honor of hummingbirds, I wanted to show you my new iphone case...
It was designed by yours truly and created through Uncommon who seriously makes the sickest iphone cases EVER.
