Hey Julie, just got the email for the Lyon Shop in Vegas and sadly won't make it to the dinner the night before so I just wanted to reach out to everyone and say HI and introduce myself! :) It will be my first year to WPPI! Anyways your work is beautiful! I love your processing and the 2nd to last picture of the bride and groom is crazy good! Hopefully we can talk more at the Lyonshop! YAY! -Kayleen

Seriously, I'm pumped!!

I was flipping through the site today before I read this blog post and saw joe, leo, and henry!! So cool JULIE!!! Way to go!
(02.09.10)Congrats, Julie! When I saw your name on the list, I knew my chances were slim! Keep up the great work ... I love knowing and working with winners!! All three photographs are precious. Beautiful storytelling, my friend.

As many of you know (and have previously seen on my blog), experimental shoots usually have something to do with my cousin Ann. I don't know what I would do without her. She listens to me babble about different ideas and her answer is always the same, "of course." This time was no different. I said I have ALWAYS wanted to do a photoshoot in a parking garage at sunset and Ann's answer was, "of course." So here you have it. A little something different from my normal style and I am kind of digging it. Oh and did I mention my cousin just launched her new etsy shop?? She was kind enough to preview some up and coming headbands in our shoot.

This is for all of you who say I don't show my face enough on this blog. I can't help it, it makes me feel naked to stare at a pic of me on my blog!! This was taken by none other than my cousin.

Pretty sure I park right there everyday! If you ever need another person to add to your random shoots, I'm all over it!
